Senryu
in an open palm
the oldest thing in the world
still asks to be held
Haiku
fern upon a hand
the forest lays down one leaf
and keeps all its green
Senryu
my hand answering
the fern curls its green question
into my still palm
Haiku
one frond in silence
speaks of green discovery
in the depths of leaves
