A Month of Writing Negative Space Poetry

II. 02.11.26 (draft)

No More Pine

sickly fresh
pine forests in a bottle
and weather in the room.

I hold a cold
kidney-shaped bowl
below my chin.

her quiet shoes
whiten the corridor,
stiff cotton whispers.

her hat sails
the top of her head.

“does it float
like my boat
in the bathtub?”
I ask.
