0807: Six Sentence List Poem

B&W image lightning over a field with a tree

The Colour of Thunder

a list poem of six sentences

THE COLOUR OF THUNDER

the colour of thunder is
daybreak,
the blue shine
in a crow’s feather.

a boat
without water,
a skinned knee,
sunburn.

a preacher
without a pulpit,
the snap
of a wet towel.

the prick
of a rose’s thorn.

the blue noise
of a siren.

we call it
thunder.

      1. My pleasure. This week I’ve been checking out other prompts, but next week I’ll be in Hampshire for a week with Ellen and the boys, so I’ll miss any new prompts. However, I will be hosting at dVerse on Tuesday 21st with a list poem prompt.
