0404: Journal of SenHai

canyon with small creek flowing through it.

Persistence

Senryu:
we rush through our days
the stream takes its time instead
and still gets further

Haiku:
narrow canyon walls
water threads through ancient stone
time learns how to flow

  3. Knocked them both out of the park, Misky! The senryu is a perfect metaphor for a purposeful and focused existence. And the haiku expresses the image so well, but also has an underlying message ( at least for me) of the constancy of change over time. Simply beautiful!
