In no particular order:
1. Snow. SNOW!
I woke to icy cold weather, damp and drizzling, and my mood plummeted. I’d been feeling under the weather, and now I was really under the weather.
And then it started snowing. How exciting! How fun! How child-like snow can make me feel.
Time for a video.
2. My great-grandmother’s obsidian ring. It was removed from her finger when she died, and given to her daughter, my grandmother, and then passed along to me. I had the ring repaired and resized, and I’m thankful to carry on that tradition of wearing it.

3. A walk in the Romney Saltwater Marshes. A stark and moody place that I adore; old churches; cemeteries that struggle to keep old bones from rising to the surface. It is said that “The world…is divided into Europe, Asia, Africa, America — and Romney Marsh.” The Romney Marshes are the inspiration for Dickens’ Great Expectations.

4. A greatly needed 10-hour sleep that left me feeling much better than the day previous.

5. Feeding the swans and ducks at the village local pond. It’s very relaxing, except when you run out of food for them (not bread!!) —
and they start chasing after you. 😂

6. Chicken soup with a fluffy dumplings.

7. Thankful that winter doesn’t last forever.

8. Extremely thankful that my renewed passport arrived in good time.

9. Thankful that my arm continues to improve, albeit slowly.

10. Ever so (ever so!) thankful that the neighbour helped Peder clear the leaf debris from our roof gutters. Rain water was spilling out and over at places.
