In no particular order:
1. I’m thankful for days that feel like nothing is a miracle, and for days when everything is a miracle. I’m thankful for both.
2. The pigeons have left my sunflower seedlings alone. Last year, they pulled them all up and left them scattered about as if weeding.
3. A new word: Melanophilia (n.) love for darkness, dark colours, the colour black, or all things in shadows.

4. My crow, who isn’t really mine, brought me a piece of bread this morning. I exchanged it for a slice of apple. A crow is so much better than a cat. 🤣

5. I’m thankful that a few readers enjoy The Old Woman With No Cat series. I enjoy writing it. I’m thankful for anything that brings a smile.

6. Thankful that despite the lack of rain, everything in the garden is growing well and seems healthy and happy.
The magpies have fledged, and they fly short distances under the watchful eye of their mum and dad. Magpies mate for life, which is why some people think it’s unlucky to see a lone magpie.
I absolutely love watching these young ones.
We don’t ‘water’ the garden using the hosepipe — we collect water from the roof guttering into barrels and tanks, and use that for the plants and in the greenhouse.

7. I’m thankful for thunder and lightning and a deluge that’s happening as I write this sentence.
8. For Denise’s Six Sentence Stories. Total challenge in the most fun way for me.
9. For excellent, and often new to me, music at Nick’s Breaking Boundaries. Subscribe.
10 … and finally, for every last one of you, but who’s counting.
Welcome to TToT (Ten Things of Thankful) blog hop! Join bloggers from all over the world as we come together to share those things that we are thankful for. Ten is in the name, but no one is counting; feel free to link up no matter how many (or few) you can list. Make sure to go read and comment on the posts, too. The TToT has always been big on making this a friendly community, and getting to know each other through posts and comments is a huge part of that. We’re thankful for you!
