Meanwhile ...

her knees are cracking walnuts, 
it's a painful sound when she 
stands or sits, and her heart makes 
a swooshing murmur sound, and 
she feels condemned by suggestion 
that being elderly made her old.

This reminds me of a client I sprek to. She’s 88, arthritic as… and says “still, there’s no point moaning about it”. Stoic. Completely batty.

  Yes. It’s just another way of saying, “nice weather we’re having,” when it’s cloudy and the mist is making your hair frizz. It’s no use complaining about it. 😂
