24 August: An Elevenie Poem

autumn leaves on the ground

Leaves
are falling.
Heat drained them
dry. A crumble from
green exposing their brown skeletal
end.

  3. Reminds me so much of us 3 years ago. It was so distressing. Our plane tree lost about half its leaves in February – still definitely summer. They all just turned yellow and gave up.

    1. I suspect you’ll be sloshing around this summer in rain because we’re still in drought conditions. That’s what happens when La Niña is circulating in the Pacific.
