4 June: dVerse Dissonance

blackbird feeding chicks in a nest

Dissonant Weather

the rain rain
the tick tick
and pitpat off gutters
gurgling and
drowning the ground with
gush
and swill squish
as worms float into
the flash of a black bird’s beak

  2. I love a blackbird’s call. It’s about the only one that I recognise.

    1. Me, too, and I’d add a robin, crow, and a pigeon.
