Forgive Me Your Plums

In the tight centre of
flesh pressing its flesh,
a rough skin stone waits
in this small yellow plum.
It inspires poetry, it’s cold,
straight from the icebox.
It’s the season for Post-it notes,
for sweet plums whose stones
are tight-wound in its rug.

  5. Lovely image you chose and I link the post-it notes to the color of the fruit, but the unseen fruit of the plum is the one that makes me drool 🙂
