Forgive Me Your Plums
In the tight centre of
flesh pressing its flesh,
a rough skin stone waits
in this small yellow plum.
It inspires poetry, it’s cold,
straight from the icebox.
It’s the season for Post-it notes,
for sweet plums whose stones
are tight-wound in its rug.

Made me hungry too. I like the idea of Post-it notes being in season.

Lovely image you chose and I link the post-it notes to the color of the fruit, but the unseen fruit of the plum is the one that makes me drool 🙂

Excellent quadrille Misky. I found you perspective on the word season to be most effective. Great visual match.
