PATHS
Taking new steps
on these same old stairs,
time-heavied footfall wears
them to a buffed-up bare.
Take hold the balustrade,
it’s made from an oak branch,
lightning hit it quite by chance.
So steady on. Steady on,
because we’re all just dust.
Just a January wheeze,
taking steps that were,
shall be, and must.

Thanks. Not one of my better , but as someone said recently, you have to write a lot of crap before something interesting happens. 😂

LOL. I am falling asleep in front of a lot of my own crap right now. I found another painting to work from. I’m on my 4th or 5th attempt. It’s all as bland as a nose blow.

I love the simplicity of new steps on old stairs; so very true.

Old steps, new steps…no matter; your closing stanza says it all. Awesome work, Misky.
