dVerse Blossoms

March 29: A firestarter returns us spring. I breathe the air. I breathe the sky. It’s a cherry blossom’s wild sunset dance out of winter. A burner against April’s pale blue. A garland for the clouds. The sky is leaking warmth and bees, and this worn soul wants to live again.

  1. Lovely imagery of the garland, Misky. I’ve never heard that before. Also enjoyed the idea of the sky leaking. Very refreshing.

  5. Short and sweet as cherry blossom, Marilyn! I love the thought of ‘cherry blossom’s wild sunset dance out of winter’ and the sky ‘leaking warmth and bees’. I’ve already seen two big bumblebees and a butterfly.

    1. We’ve had several fat bumblebees and quite a few baby slugs. I’d rather we didn’t have the latter.

  9. I love how the spring can breathe life into a soul these days… maybe it gives us the extra energy to sustain until we have a vaccine.
