New dress. Brown plaid.
Mum did my hair.
Ring curls.
My smile’s brighter
than sun. For Dad.
He’s the one
with the camera.
Smile, my girl.

Oh so wonderful! I remember my daddy with the box camera pointed at me — and then his Polaroid that he said was a magical thing as the picture started to appear before your eyes. Love this captured moment of innocence.
