I am in Denmark for a few weeks with family, so this one is quite nordic-centric.
1. Thankful for two weeks with my sons, grandchildren, extended family and old friends. What a gift this is for me.

2. Thankful that my eldest granddaughter, Emma, is on her way from Norfolk VA and will land in Copenhagen on Thursday morning.

3. Familiar food. There’s something about returning home to a lunch with rye bread, marinated herring, and pate, and Danish hotdogs for the children. Oh, and cold chocolate milk.

4. Daylight until 10:35 at night (although not so keen on daybreak at 4:00am)

5. A lovely drive from Dover (UK) through France, Belgium, Germany to Denmark — perfect weather the whole way, played a six hour long playlist with no banjos.
6. An quiet evening in Osnabrück — and a long walk after dinner in summer warmth.

7. Denise’s Six Sentence Story, which is a one-off story this week.
8. Thankful for Nico’s humour. He questioned whether the dock was safe because it looked older than me. 😂

9. Brilliant words: astucious – adj. astute, clever, cunning. from 1879.
10. iPhone photos. Here’s a gallery for you.
