columbine,
iris,
yellow,
blue,
the birdbath
the same colour.
the pots are too.
thistles,
foxgloves,
a cuckoo
singing
a kettle’s song.
hammer,
nails,
a ladder long,
scaffold rails,
and the day
rolls on.
