It's Still Life

Day 3: Open the Sky

she opens the sky
until it spills stars.

opens her mouth
before the storm arrives

takes it in
rain, distance, thunder,

takes a page
where nothing shows

writes until the air shifts

a silence that opens
and breaks

spitting out rain
and stars
