2401: Senryu-Haiku

grey parrot perched on a branch

I.
Senryu
he learns every word
but not the sky’s wild grammar
we clip him with names

Haiku
caged in falling light
his shadow flutters, silent
wings remembering

II.
Senryu
he mimics our words
but says nothing of the cage
we built around him

Haiku
rain veils the silence
on a branch, grey feathers dream
forest holds its breath

    1. I think you hold the title for prolific – incredible stories. But, thank you.

  2. Misky, you’ve done a superb job with these pieces. I could feel the sentiments as I looked at the image, and even if I didn’t have them, they were felt with the music paired with your words – sublime!
