11.12: Ten Things of Thankful

1. Thankful for a break in the weather so I could take a walk and breathe fresh air. Too stormy to risk the falling branches from trees most of the week.

2 Thankful for dreams that inspire.

3 Thankful for hacks that work. Clean tarnished silver by lining a bowl with foil, add baking soda and a splash vinegar, throw your silverware in, and pour hot water over it to cover. Fizz.Fizz, clean silver. Rinse and dry.

4. A visit to the fishmonger, and then a moment alone to walk the beach.

5. For the muted colours and shapes of winter.

6. Thankful for new projects to keep my brain thinking; writing a collection of poems about the Battle of Hastings.

6.5. It took me hours but I found the darned hidden style code in my docx file, and …

7. — I’m thankful for a couple of aspirin to sort the headache it caused.

Pffft —Microsoft.

8. Thankful that I’ve finally decided what to pack for Bogotà.

9. A walk in the forest on a bright, cold day.

10. A poinsettia from a friend. A black and white filter doesn’t suit this shot.

  1. Thanks for the silverware hack, the boat photo is so good as well as the forest photo. Another good ten except the aspirin

    1. Rinse your mug, pour out the water, rub the stain with table salt. 🥰

  4. I’ve used #3 for laundry sweat stains, clearing mild clogs in drainage and cleaning. Really good.

    #2 and #3 are beautiful.

I’ll try the salt on coffee stains.

    Thanks.

    Have a good week.
