Thankful that my bruised elbow is healing — I can finally bend it enough for my hand to touch my shoulder.

Grateful that my Covid and winter flu jabs didn’t sting like wasps.
Thankful for the cosy warmth of woolly jumpers again.

For bedlinen dried outside in the sunshine — it smells as sweet as birdsong.

For a ceasefire.

For the colour of autumn leaves caught against the garden wall.

Thankful for the small evidence that winter hasn’t quite arrived yet. Yet.

Grateful for nature’s filter: a photo of the church on the Dieppe (France) cliff edge in low cloud and rain. Thankful that the ferry crossing back to the UK was calm and uneventful.

Grateful for the rare occasions when my brain fires faster than a squirrel up a tree.

Thankful for the Ten Things of Thankful, and for the moments it offers to see past these worrisome times.

Welcome to TToT (Ten Things of Thankful) blog hop! Join bloggers from all over the world as we come together to share those things that we are thankful for. Ten is in the name, but no one is counting; feel free to link up no matter how many (or few) you can list. Make sure to go read and comment on the posts, too. The TToT has always been big on making this a friendly community, and getting to know each other through posts and comments is a huge part of that. We’re thankful for you!
