26 Aug: Aura’s Introduction

Introducing Aura

A new Six Sentence Story series told through the wind’s own voice starts tomorrow.

Aura is the breeze that stirs laundry on the line and slips beneath doors — a watcher, a whisperer, and the memory that lingers when the moment is gone.

Set in a small English village, Aura follows Päiviö (a Finnish handyman), Zofia (a Polish translator), Andrea (born here but never quite at home), and Morag (a Glaswegian widow with strong opinions and sturdy shoes).

Together, they navigate the quiet politics of belonging, foreignness, and the thousand small microaggressions that chip away at one’s identity — from names mispronounced to accents questioned, from glances that linger to questions that cut.

One story a week. Six sentences at a time.

Some will sting. Some will settle. All are true — names changed, of course — though no one is innocent.
