Five Gogyohka Poems for the Small Gods of Anomaly
I.
To the god of lost socks,
who whispers look!
at every drifting cloud
every untied shoelace …
your distraction is divine.
II.
To the god of loud silence,
who stuffs your pockets
with buzzing fluorescents
and the hum of unspilled words—
you are the translator of static.
III.
To the god of fidget-spun thoughts,
who braids tornadoes
from shoelaces and pencil taps…
thank you for spinning
chaos into compasses.
IV.
To the god of bedtime earthquakes,
who rearranges the stars
when limbs rebel at stillness…
your restlessness writes
new constellations on the ceiling.
V.
To the god of echo-questions,
who collects why like seashells
and polishes them into megaphones…
keep shouting. The world’s answers
are still sprinting to catch up.
