Your laughter—
a variable
I keep squaring
but can’t
reduce
Midnight divides
the bed into
your side
my side
the hypotenuse
The moon’s constant
is a lie—
it waxes
only when
you say stay
I integrate
your silence
and get
undefined
every time
Proof:
this equation leaves
a remainder—
love divided
by longing
