21 March: Ten Things of Thankful

B&W AI image of a forest with wildflowers and birds in the air, springtime, and a woman walking through the forest. (style: fine line pencil drawing)

In no particular order: I am thankful for …

  1. Simple comforts: homemade granola. Oats; coconut; nuts; seeds; honey; big crunchy clusters.
  2. Being fully present in another person’s life.
  3. Gothic country rock—who knew.
  4. The wonders of nature: 100% germination from 2-year old seeds. Hurray!
  5. Spring equinox, and the temperature topping 20°C.
  6. I’m thankful for time alone; a walk in the forest; the air filled with bird song, and my lungs filled with a sense of renewal.
  7. Family birthdays: 14th, 18th, 18th, 20th. That’s 4 family birthdays in one week!
  8. Denise’s Six Sentence Stories, and a road trip without leaving home.
  9. Winter is done; the clothes dryer is no longer needed for drying laundry!
  10. Forever thankful for those laughing eyes.

    1. The seeds from this year’s plants will be harvested and treated like gold dust – they’re good strong stock.

      Your happy returns relayed.

    1. Temperatures are back to normal: 14C; 16C; 13C. Birds awake with the sun at 05.50. Milkman rattling his bottles about the same time. And it’s Spring!!

  4. I always have difficulty germinating seeds from prepared packets bought in stores. Self dried seeds stand a better chance at germinating. It sounds like you had a good week. Cheers.
