In no particular order:
1. I am thankful for 5 days of sub-zero temperatures (Celsius) and crystal-clear sunny skies.
2. Shrove Tuesday, also known in the UK as Pancake Day. Blueberry pancakes, bacon, and maple syrup. Unfortunately, a headache and my tummy couldn’t stomach the idea, so Shrove Tuesday was moved to Wednesday, and Wednesday was designated as Tuesday (there are no coincidences).
3. Soup. Any soup. But not cold.
4. Longer days. 17:45 and it’s still light.
5. Serialised Six Sentence Stories (a 2-parter this week) prompted by Denise at SSB&C
6. Thankful that my husband’s efforts to reorganise my kitchen pantry—while I was out getting a breath of fresh air—was not too difficult to put back into sensible order.
7. A handful of raisins when you need a snack.
8. Yellow, white and purple crocuses still blooming.
9. A fireplace on a cold night.
10. Laughter: number 10 refers back to number 2.
For the visually impaired: A solitary figure sits in a small boat, gently tethered to a dock extending from a simple house on a small, isolated island, all rendered in delicate pencil strokes. A bare tree stands beside the house against a backdrop of a faintly sketched sun and water, evoking a sense of quiet solitude and introspection.
Welcome to TToT (Ten Things of Thankful) blog hop! Join bloggers from all over the world as we come together to share those things that we are thankful for. Ten is in the name, but no one is counting; feel free to link up no matter how many (or few) you can list. Make sure to go read and comment on the posts, too. The TToT has always been big on making this a friendly community, and getting to know each other through posts and comments is a huge part of that. We’re thankful for you!
