6 Nov: Poem-a-Day Challenge

AI art, woman with white hair and black dress holding a lantern and walking through the forest on a footpath

Advice …

said the old woman, If you go far, be sure
to find your way, you who dream, tell me
your

story.
Life’s heavy load wasn’t always so. Give
me wise words that I can eat and a shining
lantern

to find
my way. Age lays me deep and low. I want light
that I know – the dead never leave us
behind

with
a light to lead us far … for so long.
Onward.
Upward.
Downward.
That’s all there is in the end.
