Ten Things of Thankful – Week 42
1. Lunch and an afternoon at the Tate Modern with an old friend who I’ve not seen for years. She says I’ve not changed. I told her that looks are deceiving.

2. Finished a pen and watercolour based on a photograph I took from the ramparts of old St Malo, France. I’ve learned that this is called “mixed media” although I don’t really know why.

3. A break in the traffic so I could safely take a photo of a manhole cover in Lewes, East Sussex.

4. Clothes with pockets (I never buy clothes without pockets).
5. A Cross Orbweaver spider who knows its place – outside.

6. Seven hour slow cooked leg of lamb – throw it in the oven and forget about it for 7-hours.

7. My postman who knows where to hide parcels when I’m not home. My son was his daughter’s teacher, so it’s true – it’s all about connections.
8. Rain-soaked earthy colours.

9. That one of my dearest friends, Mike, is still with us, and that Lindy might stay in the UK.
10. The (only) person who’s allowed to say I’m silly.
