7 March: A Thursday Door

Whitechapel Bell Foundry. Opened 1570. Closed in 2017 after almost 450 years of bell making and 250 at this site. Notable bells made are Big Ben and the Liberty Bell

Bushboy (Brian Dodd) shares photos of doors, but not just any doors. Spectacular doors from his journeys. Dan’s Thursday Doors opened the door on this. I love doors of all sorts. I’ve trawled through my holiday snaps and found a few to share.

    1. As far as I know, the Loughborough Bellfoundry is last bellfoundry in the UK. Such a pity.
