24 January: Found Poetry

AI network: B&W image. Man standing on hill at night looking at the stars

Flesh of our flesh, he said over and over.

But no one thought of sensibilities,
so the sky scattered stars
like lost children.

    1. The art of “harsh” vocals is highly dismissed as simple shouts or growls.
There is much nuance in executing them in a way that will create the desired effect, not unlike the goal of an opera singer’s aria.
Jari Mäenpää is singing these vocals after having a big part of his lung removed in 1997, due to service in the Finnish military as part of his national defense duty, during which he contracted tuberculosis.
