3 November: 03 Völuspá

woman (black hair, blue dress and cape) with white horses
AI MJ

Thunderclap Seidhr

Odin, took her fra Valhöll’s shelf.
He, her protector, and she is Vala

who calls on the shapers of stars,
for their threads of fate and sight,

and she calls to south’s lay of light
and the sun’s earth-tethered moon.

Her one hand holds steeds of Hel,
in the other a death bell’s knell.

Seidhr blood she stirs in a mortar,
and crushes chaos bones with water,

as the gods cast their die to decide –
a sacred thunderclap did reply,

They will come.
Slaves of darkness and earth’s fire.
Dissent into lungs drowned.
Make my sea bleed.

And so it began.

  1. A white stallion from Hel…each stanza is an earthquake tremor.
I love the northern darkness of it.
(I, more than, suspect that although I am born bathed in Sun, North is a big part of me…that’s why I have been told that I may never want to return once I set foot there)

And, MJ will soon find the solution for AI’s hand problem.
    The art is breathtaking.

    God morgen, M

    1. Darkness is genetic is us Nordics. That’s why when the sun shines, we rip off our clothes and stand like twigs in its light. 🤣

    1. In which case, you might want to reach for an inhaler. Things are going to get a lot worse before they get better.
