She Shapes the Wind
From here,
She feels the chalk cliffs breathe.
Below her,
The Atlantic exhales in waves,
And inhales wild vapours
Into its kelp roots.
She comes here
When her mind is a hive,
When her heart despairs.
She can lean
Into a wall of wind, and hold
Mirrors to her soul’s window.
Vigilance is here,
Watching for those who seek
Peace of mind. Or to jump.
And one day, when she’s forever
Deprived you of herself, you might
Come to find her peace of mind.
She will always be here, forever
And afterwards, shaping wind
for you to lean into.
