I am a hunted bird
that wants to fly.

a howling fury.
rain rattling a window.

the world’s tempest.
I am utter wildness.

  1. I’m feeling extreme nature, Misky. The bird isn’t named Babet, by any chance? 🙂

    1. No, but it’s an odd coincidence, isn’t it. I hope your feet are warm and dry, Tom.

Thought it would be interesting to see your ink translated in Hellenic.
A warning: I have used old Hellenic grammar also, so feeding it to Google will 1. Give it a seizure , 2. Will be hilarious 😆

    Good morning, M.🌤

    1. It’s interestingly translated nearly the same in Google and Bing. Baidu’s engine at stars21dotcom nearly made me choke on my fish oil capsule, however, they are rather large, the capsules that is.

And a very good morning to you , Nick.

      1. Apparently, the only reason Vikings managed to survive was because of that man or woman who decided to extract fish oil.
Forensic analysis on Iceland Vikings, showed all the bone deformities expected from people in northern habitats without fish oil in their diet.

        1. Vitamin D deficiency might have contributed also. At this time of year, the only time you see sunlight is if you go outside for lunch; you wake in the dark and return home in the dark. It’s no wonder Scandinavia has such a high suicide rate. Which is why I’m taking my Dane for a drive today. Blow the dust off him. 😂

          1. Yes, M you are absolutely right; I didn’t want to sound all pedantic but the chain goes : fish oil – vitamin D – Calcium absorbed and psychological pathways of vD energized.
So, you should! Unleash those horses!!🐎

            1. Yes, D and calcium require a fatty ingredient in order to do its magic. Pedantic is my middle name, actually no it’s not, but anyway as you recall I was trying to enlighten P that you can’t turn burnt soup into toast.

  4. Another strong poem in the series Misky. I think I may have found a source for found poetry – the original and unabridged text of The Waterbabies – as told by a naturalist told to his young son at bedtime. It is full of quite bizzare passages – I am trying to look at it as a potential source but keep getting drawn into the narrative lol

  6. I take Vitamin D encased in coconut oil for that reason. Excellent, forceful verse. I like the Greek translation (so did the ghost of Ulysses who read over my shoulder) 🙂
