This is the Holsten Gate (Low German and German: Holstentor), a city gate marking the western entrance of the old centre of the Hanseatic city of Lübeck. Built in 1464, the brick gothic construction is one of the relics of Lübeck’s medieval city fortification. More info Lübeck

Bushboy (Brian Dodd) shares photos of doors, but not just any doors. Spectacular doors from his journeys. Dan’s Thursday Doors opened the door on this. I love doors of all sorts. I’ve trawled through my holiday snaps and found a few to share.
