3 October: To Be a Hermit

The floors, Angelos!
that was the name he called me.

I soon wished
I was a hermit

who stammered through
every syllable with zeal.

    My dear M… you have seen the Angel… and (s)he was not of the popular iconography… could very well be an Angelos with a broom, having flower-petal tears.

      My cousin (who had brain surgery this year) sent me Wounded By Love as a birthday gift last month. He’s Greek Orthodox. I’ve hardly been able to put it down. St Porphyrious’s life edges into my thoughts daily, and I thought what better source to find what is found.

      I think you’d be good at anything you put your mind to. As for these pieces, being strangely sad or sadly, strange, Found Poetry isn’t to everyone’s liking, nor is Dadaism. I’ve always been fascinated by the concept, but then I am a little peculiar. 😂

        Not necessarily true; I totally suck at math and always will. 😂
        But ask me which mammal has the highest blood pressure,
        and I’ll tell you the answer … and no, it’s not man.
        Who’s to say what’s peculiar? You’re perfect to me. 🥰

          I suck at maths more. 😂 I know this one: giraffes 🦒. Trivial Pursuit 👍🏻 In the same vein, I once tried to explain away high blood pressure because I was tall. That was a non-starter according to my doctor.
