2 October: Tattoo

AI artwork, old man white hair and beard, facial tattoos, kindly expression, dark background

Tattoo

It’s a long lingering bruise
for a woman he once loved,

a red inked heart
with a twisting rose vine,
thorny,
prickly.

Bloody woman’s still under his skin.

He’s thankful for small mercies,
it’s on his boney shoulder blade
and he can’t see it
without mirrors and contortions.

And he cushions his beer buzz
against the snooker table,
draws back the cue stick,

and banks the cue ball
into the side pocket.

  1. Life is unbelievably magical… I have an 80 year old friend who just reconnected with a 77 year old woman… they were secretly in love at high school… didn’t show it to him , he was too busy taking care his family… didn’t show it to her, life moved them apart.
And now, they are glowing like newborn stars.

Beautiful ink and art ; prompts reveal that getting these results from MJ are not an easy task.
    Good morning, M.
