September: Last Photo on the Card

photo of the St Nikolaj sailboat tied-up at the marina in Ærø.
The St Nikolaj sailboat tied up at Ærø

This is the St Nikolaj, which recently was renamed The Viking for commercial reasons. For me, this beautiful old ship will always be the St Nikolaj.

This post is in response to Brian’s monthly challenge Last Photo on the Card. Brian (aka Bushboy) asks for the Last Photos on your phone/camera/SD card. Here is the last shot on my iPhone 14Pro Max. I took more photos after this one, but I moved them off my phone, so technically this is the last photo taken in September. Shared on Twitter with @bushboywhotweet

  4. I have never understood renaming a town or place or boat – it feels deeply wrong somehow. Like – scrubbing a cast iron pan with a wire brush. You lose all your gossip- your ghosts would get lost.
