  1. This is wonderful. I have always loved Gorey’s drawings.

    1. Thank you! Just so we’re clear, Lois, I created these these four images using artificial intelligence. They aren’t Gorey’s drawing – I just created them in the style of Gorey.

      1. Yes, but you did great! You know, I get these pop-ups from AI about ‘what can I help you with?’ and I delete them. So you can ask them to create an image? Reason I ask is each day I post a photo with minimal verbiage. I should get with the program and try AI, shouldn’t I? 🙄

        1. There are all sorts of AI that can many things. The AI bot that asks if you need help isn’t the same as an AI bot that creates images based on a description that you give it. I use an AI bot called Midjourney, which only creates images from a string of word descriptions that type into it. It’s much the same as the AI used to create movie/TV special effects (and stuff like that). For me, it’s a hobby.

  2. Queueing for me is a lost art. Whatever queue i choose always goes slower than the one I just left for a formerly fast line! Maddening. 🙂 https://rolandyeomans.blogspot.com/2023/08/meeting-of-minds.html

    1. Pick the shortest one, which will prompt other people to pile in behind you, and instantly you’ll be midway through the queue … and you should feel much better. 😀

      1. When we lived in Ireland, I started a business making needlepoint tapestry kits but instead of silk-screened canvasses, they were heat pressed. Heatpressing can be applied to anything from mugs to T-shirts to picture canvasses in quantities as small as one. I’m not suggesting you do it yourself, but if you find a company nearby, it could work for you…
