1 June: A Thursday Door

The old Arundel Castle boathouse. It’s no longer in use, obvious from the state of it, and should probably be taken down before it falls down on someone’s head. But that’s not how things work in this part of West Sussex – money’s short, so you mend and make do.

Bushboy (Brian Dodd) shares photos of doors, but not just any doors. Spectacular doors from his journeys. Dan’s Thursday Doors opened the door on this. I love doors of all sorts. I’ve trawled through my holiday snaps and found a few to share.

    That’s a lovely photo! Mending that door/gate will take some effort, but I think it would be a fun project.

      I think my first course of action might be addressing the water level so a boat could dock there. 😂 Then I’d put my mind to that gate.

      Arundel is one of our favourite spots for a bit of lunch, and then a walk to and around the lake. I hope to start walking around that lake again now that the weather is warmer. My hip and knee need some moving about.
