21 April: A-to-Z Challenge

AI artwork, man walking in a rain storm

R is for Rain

Clouds read like tea leaves.
Heavy and dark as a monk’s robe.
And the rain begins.

The rain. I watch it fall
in thick strokes of ink.

All night.
Wild rain.
I close my eyes. And hope to sleep.

  1. “Clouds read like tea leaves” – “dark and heavy as a monk’s robe” — I love these images. A very evocative poem.

  2. I love listening to the rain, especially when I had a cabin with a tin roof.
