25 February: #SOCS The Bus Stop

AI Artwork in the style of Edward Gorey. Group of people waiting for the bus.

Give That Girl A Prize

… several people already waiting for the 11:10 bus into town. A husband and wife with two gaunt dogs on leads; several kids – why aren’t they in school, and two tall men tilting on their walking sticks. I must try to recreate those two using AI art. A teenage girI. I think sheโ€™s a girl. No, maybe not. No, itโ€™s a girl. Good morning, I reply. She has tattooed stars on her chin. And three on her forehead. A witch maybe. It’s all the ley lines around here. Maybe theyโ€™re pentagrams. She’ll regret doing that when she’s 70. Could that be ink? Maybe it washes off. How do you remove ink from skin? Soap and water? Champagne removes red wine stains, but if I had champagne to hand, Iโ€™d not be drinking red wine. Thatโ€™s for sure. Oh, girl, youโ€™re going to be so sorry that youโ€™re smoking that ciggie. One day youโ€™ll want to quit, and itโ€™s a beast to kick. Anyone who quits should be awarded a prize. A star. Tattooed on their chin… One star for every time they try to quit.
