8 Nov: NovPAD Day 8

AI digital art: two sisters at a table, talking.

I. Miz Quickly: Short and Sweet Praise

Make It Short and Sweet

If I were to be executed tomorrow,
I’d want lobster with a bowl of mayo for dinner,
and biscuits and peppery sausage gravy at daybreak,
and a bottle of vodka might be useful, too.

II. PA:  Gogyohka or Gogyōka  Poem Gogyohka form

Sisters absorbed in childhood
Tracking memories of words
Shattered alphabet letters
Ode to Joy became their call
To arms, and to just let go

These poems/prose are draft versions, written in participation of Miz Quickly’s prompts and Writers’ Digest (Poetic Asides) November poem-a-day challenge. The aim: to produce a chapbook for submission. ©Misky 2022 Shared with #amwriting on Twitter

  2. The first one is just delightfully delicious, and that second one’s “shattered alphabet” is gonna stick with m.
