28 Aug: for Jane’s Oracle Words

heart drawn on foggy glass

A Satisfying Harmony

She draws hearts on the shower screen
He’s sanding rust off the radiator

Truthful, yes, she dries damp towels on it
He rifles his tool box for a wire brush, sits
on the floor, blows dust off skirting boards

She’s eager to please
She draws hearts on the shower screen

  1. This is very cool!!! Wow!! It’s like a typewriter with words instead of letters. What a selection! Did it take you long to make so much sense of it?

  3. You just did what I always try to do—pick out just a few words ans write a short, incisive poem. I love the rather pathetic repetition, and the gesture,, drawing hearts.

      1. I’m pleased they inspired such a fine little poem! I’ve just tried (again) to take a leaf out of your book and condense the list to the essentials. The result is still too long.
