Sometimes You Don’t See It Coming
There’s a mosquito
in this room, now it’s
by the window,
staring up at
the overcast and grey.
It’s flying away its days
and it doesn’t realise
life is short-term.
Its faint voice
buzzes at the glass.

I’ll usher a fly outside, but not a mosquito. They eat me alive.

Fly’s lives, the short cut shorter. Buzzing like a bad cow bell. Love this.
