GloPoWriMo: Day 1

The first half of joy is a wave,
rolling in, it curls on itself,
soft as lip balm.

The second half is the same wave
rolling out, or summer gone, gone
kisses chapped and cracked.

  1. I just spent the last half hour composing Grandpa limericks. This is a superb reminder that there are gentler types of poetry.

      1. I just wrote thru Sunday. I reckno he might have some fun when he finally gets to the gym. Just the thought of an eighty-year-old pumping iron does if for me!
But he has to get home, first!

  3. This is fabulous!! So controlled. So powerful in the contrast. The let down. LOL Seriously though, I think it’s brilliant.

  4. My Beloved Sandra’s a much stronger surf lover than I shall ever be, but your outstanding work here warms me up to it quite a bit, Misky. Very Zen. Thanks.
