A Picnic in the Rain on Brighton Beach

A weeping sun
spilled down on me,
no thirst have I for drink.

Sodden wishes
of a tented sky,
blues set me on a beach.

A sandwich trimmed
in pretty squares,
sip a cup of tea,

You and me,
just watched the sea
drink up the spilling rain.

  1. Amazing series of lines. Oddly disjointed and yet beautiful. It satisfies.
