There’s a pearled song
waiting at the end
of its willow reed.
Up there is a robin
in the rafters
of the lambing shed.

I agree with debi. It’s one of those little moments that makes you go “ah!” that my poetry lecturer used to talk about – like the cathedral when you cut open an orange.
