Remixed Daydream
Here I am again
daydreaming,
just like Mum always said
I did too much of …
daydreaming of
warm ruby-stained
fingers, and
June fields of white blossoms
tucked into ripening
strawberries,
and the air
is a touchable
memory
of scent, solitude,
and future,
and I recall thinking,
one day I’ll have an orchard.
And I did.
