Miz Quickly’s Day 14

A View on St Ninian’s Row

this town is a map
these streets stiff as twigs
brown and grey facades
high rise into the mild air
and we walk everywhere

I am none the wiser
for watching
their heels flecked with purpose
street lights illuminate
their fear of darkness

  1. I love”streets stiff as twigs” and I love “I am none the wiser…” . It reminds me of WCW’s wheelbarrow poem “so much depends…” Such a lovely introduction to a thought. I also love “heels flecked with purpose”.

  2. Awww… Aging inner-city handholders. I could follow them anywhere. Awesome work, Misky.

  3. I think you mapped out the words just fine. Even if you think they had the upper hand.
