It’s Just Weather: Heat
We rise with the sun,
before the full of heat
crowds the clouds
and skims the colour
from the day.
This is harvest day,
clear and hot, a heat
usually reserved for ovens,
and it leaves our bones
simmered white and limp
as foam on foam.

I can’t recall where I found that image, but I’ve had it a long time in my odd-lot folder. I think it might’ve been on Twitter.

Today a fellow-Aussie and blogger (Tracy at Reflections of an Untidy Mind) started calling me Wormsie. 😀 It took my fancy. It’s very Aussie indeed. I feel like I could host a really good radio show with a name like that.

Wormsie, it is then. I rather like that also. With a name like that, you could host the world!
