On the Edge of Invisible

the photo is my own.

On the Edge of Invisible

                    Our street is quiet,
                    on the edge of invisible.

A magpie’s in the tree, it vanishes
into deep summer leaves,
then reappears.

A boy on a bicycle peddles by,
he disappears around the corner,
toward the creek.

A red poppy as bright as noon
opened in the garden today.
It will vanish soon,

like a vague idea, and the day
                    will be sadder for that.

Thoughtful thoughts Misky! Like everything else in life, it is all temporary in structure and form. We are the ones to bear the consequences!

  2. Misky – the word that comes to my mind in describing this poem is – delicate.

I just loved it from start to finish.
