Day 13 NaPoWriMo 2021

Napowrimo Write tomorrow’s news. (Found Poetry
sourced from today’s UK Met Office report)

I.
Tomorrow’s Weather Report

When it’s nearly today,
light might dry clear.
Brightness will level, and
winds will shine sheer,
and bit by bit odd nights
we’ll hear – spells, a few,
and idle words like rain.
Mist might probably form
on the plains of Dartmoor.

Poetic Asides: Lucky or Unlucky

II.
Does It Snow in Madrid?

It’s sharp 8 o’clock.
The radio snaps on, and it’s
the national weather report.

Hoy será soleado y cálido.
Máximos 25C. Mínimos 15C.

Internet radio, and I think, How
lucky they are, as I watch snow
swirling around a car driving by.

  1. 3 gems, Misky. i esp liked the ekphrastic. I have no idea how anyone can manage responding to more than 1 prompt daily, especially such diverse ones, Salute.
I know I’ve stopped in here before (apparently on a random basis, for which I apologize) and don’t know how/why you weren’t on my “Reader” list. But now you are, and I’m glad.
    See you around!

  2. It was clear this morning with a big red sun rising above frosty grass. This art of Norfolk is notorious for mist and sea frets. But I love that kind of weather. I love the sounds in ‘winds will shine sheer’ and the phrase ‘idle words like rain’, something we’re all familiar with! Your found poem made me smile! And the man picked out of a hat!

  3. A good day’s work then, I take it. Mist isn’t high on my favourites list; plays havoc with my bronchials. Makes me cough, but then chocolate can do the same sometimes, and it’s high on my favourites list. 😂
